XDC Autonomous Solutions will be launching several new fully autonomous grounds maintenance robots at Groundsfest, all of which are designed to save time and money, and free up resources for other tasks. Whether you’re looking to mow sports fields, mark out pitches, maintain artificial surfaces, clean swimming pools and leisure facilities, XDC provides an autonomous solution to meet your needs.
The unique RM21 Combo is the world’s only multi-function mower and line marking robot, with new attachments now available to help carry out a variety of labour-intensive tasks from one machine. These include a sweeping kit for automatic grass/leaf collection and dump to a designated point, brushes for striping and removing dew before mowing, sprayer boom for autonomous marking of multiple lanes on athletics tracks, plus an automated spreader.
Other cutting-edge solutions that will be on display include the Buky One that enables in-house autonomous maintenance of synthetic sports surfaces, at a time to suit you. Whether during the day, evening or night – the Buky One performs its tasks quietly, reliably and precisely. Buky is equipped with both a 1.2m working width brush and spring tine bar, which loosen up the artificial turf and smooth the fibres, with a variably adjustable magnetic bar collecting metallic objects from the pitch.
In addition, there will be a range of fully autonomous robotic mowers with various cutting widths available to cover different areas and terrains, with the brand-new Thor robot mowing up to 36,000 m2 (9 acres) per day. From sports pitches to tree-lined fairways to high-traffic parks, each area presents unique challenges. Thor’s three-layer guidance system ensures consistent cutting patterns in demanding environments, freeing your team to focus on higher-value maintenance tasks.
XDC robots are cloud-based and have access to an advanced Fleet Management function offering real-time monitoring of devices’ locations and status to ensure seamless operation and maximum efficiency, leading to enormous savings in labour, fuel, and time.
With all our autonomous solutions, safety is paramount. Market leading technology is incorporated; 360° real-time object detection is provided by LiDAR to constantly monitor the surrounding area, detecting obstacles and ensuring there are no blind spots, Smart Path prevents collisions to make mowing safer and easier, and collision bumpers, lift protection, and rain monitoring deliver maximum performance combined with site security.
