Visitors to GroundsFest 2026 will have the opportunity to see Integrated Pest Management (IPM) brought to life as the Amenity Forum hosts a new IPM in Practice Showcase on stand OSA812. Bringing together practical examples and expertise from across the sector, the showcase will demonstrate how an integrated approach can help amenity professionals make informed, sustainable and effective decisions about managing weeds, pests and diseases.
Rather than focusing on any single solution, the showcase will take visitors through the complete IPM journey – from prevention and monitoring through to targeted intervention, application and review – demonstrating how different approaches can work together as part of an effective management programme.
Visitors will be able to explore practical examples spanning turf health and resilience, biodiversity, monitoring and identification, precision weed detection and targeted application. The showcase will also consider the role of plant protection products where their use is appropriate, alongside the professional skills, technology and decision-making needed to ensure interventions are proportionate and effective.
It is an approach that reflects the realities faced by today’s amenity professionals. Those managing sports turf, parks, public spaces, highways, railways and other amenity environments are increasingly expected to deliver safe, functional and high-quality spaces while responding to changing environmental expectations, regulation, climate pressures and demands for greater sustainability.
Effective IPM is therefore much more than simply choosing between chemical and non-chemical control.
