GroundsFest raises money for Cancer Research UK

GroundsFest was delighted to raise £2000 for Cancer Research UK.

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, influence and information. Its work has already benefited millions of lives since its inception.

The charity was present at GroundsFest, which took place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on 20 and 21 September 2023. It proved to be a great opportunity for attendees to find out more about the amazing work Cancer Research UK undertakes.

Cancer Research UK was chosen as the charity of choice due to the number of friends, relatives, and colleagues of the GroundsFest team affected by cancer.

Commenting on the funds raised, GroundsFest Marketing Director Chris Bennett, said: “Sadly, many people are affected by cancer and Cancer Research UK is doing everything possible to change that.

“We are incredibly proud to have raised this money for Cancer Research UK – it is a charity close to our hearts. We’d like to thank the brilliant CRUK team for joining us at GroundsFest to raise awareness – keep up the great work!”

Commenting on the partnership, Ryan Goode, Relationship Manager for Cancer Research UK said: “We are incredibly grateful to GroundsFest for supporting Cancer Research UK and helping achieve our ambition of seeing three in four people survive their cancer by 2034.

“Our progress relies on the incredible dedication and commitment of volunteers and supporters – without whom we would not be able to fund our life-saving work. One in two of us will get cancer in our lifetime. All of us can support the research that will beat it.
