The new GROUNDSMAN SpeedPro fast forward aerator
Groundsman will be handing out information about their new SpeedPro fast forward aerator at Groundsfest on the 10-11 Sept. This truly versatile high performance machine will aerate down to 20cm deep producing hole patterns from 40mm to 100mm apart at 46m per min. It will be available in 1.2mtr 1.8mtr and 2.4mtr widths. The SpeedPro will be equally capable of hollow, solid and needle tining fine greens as well as deep spiking on fairways, outfields and pitches. The 1.2m wide compact tractor mounting machine will be available in November, this will be followed by the 1.8m and the 2.4m which will be available by July 2025. Turf Multi Cutters
Groundsman Two and Four-wheel Drive Turf Sod Cutters deliver effortless sod cutting with very low operator Hand Arm Vibration levels. The blade drive is provided by a single heavy-duty connecting rod with twin counter balance flywheels which minimise the vibration emissions at source for smooth operation and durability. Large 30cm diameter ground-drive wheels are fitted on all models centrally located for easy handling providing excellent traction in all conditions. The four wheel drive models with rear axle blade position enable them to cut pristine turf very accurately even on rolling terrane as well as accommodating Trench, De-compaction and Mole-drain Blades to cut down to 15cm deep. The versatile Turf Multi Cutter (TMC) range of machines can be fitted with Sod Blades 30cm to 60cm wide to cut 1cm to 7.5cm thick sod or Serrated Sod Blades for cutting courser grasses, scrub or heather. Revetting Blades are available to cut two and three strips of turf in one pass for sod walling or bunker building. Guillotine and Sod Rolling attachments can be fitted on the TMC48 model to measure, chop and roll the sod in pre-set lengths for re-use or sale by turf nurseries and sod farms.
Turf Aerators
Groundsman’s tried and tested Elliptical Plunge Action Pedestrian and Tractor Mounting Aerator range are available in working widths from 45cm to 180cm. All use Groundsman’s proven rugged sealed bearing box-arm mechanism which is driven by a rugged 10cm diameter hub crank. The tine movement is proportionally horizontal as well as vertical plunge action for aeration down to 15cm deep with minimal surface disruption. A vee-spigot Tine Holder mounting system enables quick-switch between Twin, Triple, Quad or Quint Holders which can be fitted with Solid, Chisel, Hollow Tubular or Side-discharge Tines. Groundsman one piece light weight Cluster Tine Heads provide dense pattern shallow aeration with minimum vibration to puncture sealed surfaces with needle tines or thatch removal and seed-bed preparation with micro hollow-tines.
Core Collectors
The Flexblade Collector is available from 0.8mtr to 2.3mtr widths to fit many makes of aerators as well as Groundsman to Core and Collect in one pass. The collectors can also be independently mounted to a Three Point Linkage frame for Follow-up Collection of Cores or Linear Aeration Soil. This incredibly efficient implement follows the contours of Greens with precision scooping the aeration soil cleanly from the surface powder dry or soaking wet. The unique design of the Flexblade has no driven parts and is virtually maintenance free.
