GROUNDSFEST TEAMS UP WITH CANCER RESEARCH UK

GroundsFest is proud to announce a partnership with Cancer Research UK. The partnership will help raise money to fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, influence and information. Its work has already benefited millions of lives since its inception.

The charity will be present at GroundsFest, which takes place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on 20 and 21 September 2023. It will be a great opportunity for attendees to find out more about the amazing work Cancer Research UK undertakes.

Cancer Research UK was chosen as the charity of choice due to the number of friends, relatives, and colleagues of the GroundsFest team affected by cancer.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Cancer Research UK,” said GroundsFest’s Chris Bennett. “Sadly, many people are affected by cancer and Cancer Research UK is doing everything possible to change that. Hopefully, through this partnership, the groundscare industry can come together to raise funds and support Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.”

Commenting on the partnership, Ryan Goode, Relationship Manager for Cancer Research UK said: “We are incredibly grateful to GroundsFest 2023 to be supporting Cancer Research UK and helping achieve our ambition of seeing three in four people survive their cancer by 2034.

“Our progress relies on the incredible dedication and commitment of volunteers and supporters – without whom we would not be able to fund our life-saving work. One in two of us will get cancer in our lifetime. All of us can support the research that will beat it.

“We are very excited to have a presence at the event in September and look forward to speaking to you all about Cancer Research UK and how you can support us.”
